Cynthia Workman

Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Addictions Counsellor

Todays world is challenging to say the least. Holding life together seems almost a tightrope act – kids, job, economy, finances, it can be difficult at times. All of these things can take a toll on your wholistic health and wellness including life and relationship satisfaction. Stress and worry can impact not only your mental and physical wellbeing but it can also put a strain on your intimate relationships as well. If you are struggling to find any joy in your life and passion in your bedroom, there is hope! Counselling can assist with both! Recognizing the small moments of light in your day can gradually enhance your outlook, and embracing the present can make life more joyful and fulfilling.

My name is Cynthia Workman and I have experience working with both mental health and addiction issues including but not limited to relationship issues, personality disorders, narcisitic abuse recovery, grief, anxiety and depression to name a few. I have experience working with couples facing challenges related to communication, intimacy, and sexual satisfaction. Some of the modalities I employ are Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.

Seeking someone to walk along with you on your healing journey is the first step. I would be honoured to be that someone.

TRAINING

As a social worker, my focus will be on helping children who are facing various challenges in their lives. Whether it’s dealing with mental health issues, coping with trauma, or navigating difficult family dynamics, I am here to provide support and guidance.

I believe in taking a non-judgmental, compassionate approach to my work, and am dedicated to helping my clients reach their full potential. I am a patient listener, and will work closely with each client to understand their unique needs and goals.

With experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds, I am well-equipped to provide the support and resources necessary for each child to thrive. Whether you prefer online or in-person appointments, I am available to work with you and your child to create a plan that works for your schedule and needs

My Practice

As a parent, you want nothing more than for your child to be healthy, happy, and thriving, so it can be challenging to watch your child struggle with their emotions and behaviors. I believe that every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. Through therapy, we can work together to create a positive and meaningful change in your child’s life.

Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or any other mental health concern, I am here to help. My non-judgmental, client-centered and culturally responsive approach to therapy creates a safe space for your child to explore their challenges and develop personalized solutions.
I offer both in-person and online sessions, as well as flexible scheduling to accommodate busy families. Fluent in English and Malayalam.
