As a therapist I’m committed to providing a space that can empower you to explore and better understand your own path. Through discovering your values, and honouring your mind, body, and spirit we will journey together through the process of healing. I consider it a privilege to be able to walk through the pain, hurt and joy of your story.
During our time together, I will utilize evidence-based therapies to support your unique needs and goals. Some of the approaches I use in my practice include cognitive-behavioural therapy, parts work, narrative therapy, and emotionally-focused therapy. My foundation as a therapist centers on the view that people are whole, and hold within themselves the wisdom to lead our time together. I see counselling as an opportunity to lessen pain and suffering, and strengthen capacity for self-compassion and acceptance, and connection to self and others. I will always provide a warm, non-judgemental and safe space for us to sit with whatever may be coming up for you.
When I’m not sitting in the chair across from you, you can find me playing with my two golden retrievers, reading a book, or spending time hiking, walking, or relaxing in nature.
