Our Life Skills Coaching program is designed to help young adults strengthen the practical abilities they need to live with greater independence, confidence, and autonomy. Each session is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to the individual’s own pace, preferences, and goals — whether that means mastering small daily routines or preparing for larger life transitions.
Support is available across a variety of settings — at home, in the clinic, or out in the community — ensuring that skills are practiced where they matter most.
This pathway is ideal for young adults and families who want flexible, educational support that builds confidence without clinical documentation.
Oversight provided by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
Sessions are collaborative, paced according to comfort, and always guided by self-identified goals.
Focuses on practical, real-world skills such as:
Daily routines and organization
Meal preparation
Navigating public transit
Budgeting and money management
Exploring employment opportunities
Health education and consent (taught as information and tools, not as treatment)
Trauma-informed and strengths-based approach ensures learning is person-directed and respectful.
Disclaimer: Sessions are educational and skills-based. They are not psychotherapy, ABA therapy, or a replacement for clinical or medical care.
For families seeking a more structured approach, our ABA Clinical Framework provides individualized support under BCBA supervision.
Includes an initial assessment to identify current strengths, preferences, and goals.
An individualized skills plan is created, with measurable steps for progress.
Direct coaching is provided by trained staff such as Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBTs), under BCBA supervision.
Coaching targets practical abilities like:
Daily routines and self-care
Cooking and meal planning
Transportation and travel training
Budgeting and financial literacy
Employment readiness and workplace skills
Sessions are delivered at home, in the clinic, or in community settings to support skill generalization.
Program follows CPBAO standards of practice, is trauma-informed, and emphasizes personal choice, dignity, and independence.
