Every individual’s needs are unique, which is why we create personalized treatment plans tailored to your goals and situation. Our multidisciplinary team in London and St. Thomas, Ontario—including social workers, psychotherapists, and a behaviour analyst—provides expert support for mental health, behaviour, and life skills, helping each individual, couple, or family build resilience, develop practical tools, and achieve meaningful growth.
We'll explore your needs and allow you to learn more about us. If you are ready to start your therapy journey we can skip the initial phone consultation and schedule you in with one of our experienced therapists for an intake appointment.
During your first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, explore your current and past concerns, and discuss your goals.
We strive to be transparent with all of our clients, and what that means is that we will discuss our therapeutic focus and direction with you. The entire therapeutic process is client-centred and focused on your needs.
Your therapist will work with you to improve relationships, set boundaries, learn healthy coping strategies, and work towards the desired change you want to see in your life.
Individual therapy is where a therapist works with a single person in a non-judgmental, safe, and caring space to explore the individual’s thoughts, behaviours, and emotions, focusing on creating meaningful change that will promote the person’s mental well-being.
Couples therapy involves a couple working with a therapist to enhance their relationship through improving communication, modifying unhealthy behaviours, and focusing on the strengths within the relationship.
We want to make therapy accessible to everyone, no matter their location. Virtual sessions are great because you can access counselling services from the comfort of your home, parked vehicle, or office.
Separation counseling is a form of therapy designed to help individuals or couples navigate the emotional and practical challenges that arise when they are going through a separation or divorce. Unlike mediation, which is often focused on reaching agreements between parties, separation counseling is primarily focused on providing emotional support, understanding, and guidance during a difficult time
Child and adolescent therapy involves a child or adolescent working with a therapist to explore their thoughts, behaviours, and emotions and focus on adaptive coping strategies, positive growth, and increase their problem-solving abilities.
Family therapy involves a family working with a therapist to nurture change, promote positive interactions, and resolve conflict.
Many of us encounter experiences throughout our life that alter our sexual identity or orientation and can inhibit our ability to feel connected to ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and to our partner. Your journey is unique and so should the compassionate support you seek.
We strive to make our services accessible to all families. Funding options may include:

To start therapy, all you need to do is email admin@talkthereapyservices.ca or call our office (519) 790-0997, and based on your needs we will connect you with one of our qualified mental health professionals.
At your first session your therapist will start by asking what has brought you to therapy and explain their style of therapy and see if you feel that they will be a good fit for you. Please ask any questions you may have, as your therapist wants you to feel as comfortable as possible. If your therapist asks you something, and you aren’t comfortable sharing, that is okay. Just let your therapist know you aren’t ready to talk about it. As you feel more comfortable with your therapist, you will be able to open up more.
All of our mental health professionals offer a free 15-minute consultation, this allows you to ask questions, and get a feel for what therapy will be like, which makes the experience much less intimidating and more empowering.
Counselling can help you by giving you a safe space to vent, reflect, learn coping skills, communication skills, and foster resilience. Counselling can help you heal from a traumatic event, or cope with negative thoughts, stress, anxiety, and depression by using practical tools that will help you grow personally and professionally.
